I went for a Mom’s day out on Saturday with some friends. They are the other mommies of the kids in the labor day and father’s day pictures. We have been meeting every other month for a Moms Day Out without the babies and it has been wonderful. We’ve done a spa day, shopping, and eating.
This time we went to a heavenly wine bar called Purple (www.thepurplecafe.com). I wish I had known about this place when my mom and Conor’s parents were in town. It was so awesome and right in the middle of Woodinville wine country (yes! Did you know that there are about 10 wineries within 15 minutes of my house?)
I had the Cheese Flight, which was three yummy cheeses (I had a cow’s milk triple cream, a bleu and a Brie-like cheese) and a glass of wine. I like wine, but am not picky, so I told the waiter to bring me whatever and I got Writer’s Block Pinot Noir. Highly recommended! But then again, I like everything, so take that with a grain of salt.
