I forgot to write things down this month, which is why this post will be mostly “Yep, still acting like a two year old”.
There are a few things that stand out this month though. The first is your big assertion of independance. I have heard “Savannah do it all by herself” a LOT this month. You are also trying to be the boss of your dad and I. I am constantly hearing what is and is not good behavior according to Savannah. Apparantly, good and bad girls get treats in your world. It’s OK to throw food too. Well, not in my world.
You are also stepping like mad! I know this seems so insignificant and silly, but when you have a child that has hip problems and then is behind at every gross motor skill milestone, this is a BIG deal. You can climb up and down the stairs only holding on to the railing. It’s amazing and we are so happy for you.
You are fascinated with the question “What is in Mama/Daddy/Savannah’s belly?” We have to go over what I/Daddy/you ate during the day. I think random people keep thinking I’m pregnant (I’m not), because you ask this question very randomly in public.
The other biggie happened on your 27 month birthday. We were having a discussion about what shirt you wanted to wear (The Einsteins T-Shirt). It was dirty as you and Daddy had planted flowers in it the day before. We kept telling you it was dirty and you had to wear something else. You looked at us and said “Why?” Ooooooh boy. I’m already exhausted by “What’s he/she/it doing?” Why is going to really push me over the edge.
BUT, you also will come up to me out of the blue and ask “Give Mama a kiss?” or you will request a family hug (all three of us) or you will tell me you love me “THIIIIIIS much!” You also know that I am a sucker for “Savannah want to cuddle with Mama”
Oh kid, you’re the coolest.
