Port Rush is the little seaside town that Bridget (Gaga B) grew up in. We were hosted by Bridget’s sister Tricia in the house that all the McNally’s grew up in.
Savannah got to meet her ‘Aunties’ (Tricia and Kathleen) as she came to call them and her Uncle Sean. While we didn’t have 17 kids running around as in Cork, she had a ball. I was so happy that she (and I) were able to see this part of the family. I haven’t seen Tricia and Kathleen since my wedding and had never met Bridget’s brother Sean.
Savannah has also found the new softies in the family. Tricia does not have any children, so, as you would expect, she doesn’t have a lot of toys in the house. Savannah, in her three year old way, remarked on this quite quickly. Within moments, Tricia and Kathleen had bundled her off to the toy store with strict instructions to buy her ‘one thing’. I went up to take a little nap and Conor said when she came back she was holding one thing…..and was followed by two Aunts with BAGS of toys. Oh well, if your Aunts can’t spoil you – who can?
The scenic photos are of a place called The Giant’s Causeway which is an amazing walk and so worth the journey. Geology can be so amazing.
