When we were in Paris, one of the things that made us think “Hey, these people have their stuff figured out” was that instead of orange juice made with sugar and water, you would order Orange Presse, which is actual oranges squeezed right then to give you a glass of pure orange juice. It was amazing (and also, like $8, but who’s counting).
I, as usual, was stumped about what to get Conor for Fathers’ Day until the brainstorm of “Hey, they sell citrus juicers in the States too!”. One trip to Williams Sonoma later and we own a top of the line citrus juicer. You’d think this was a one off, unitasker kind of device, but we have made orange juice, lemonade, limeade, margaritas and orange-tangerine juice. It’s an incredible little machine and we are happy it’s at our house.
