Over 100 years ago when I was in Kindergarten, I believe it was considered a success if you came out knowing your colors and letters. Savannah’s Kindergarten class was assigned research projects. Yes, yes they were. Each girl was assigned a bug and they had some specific items they had to include on the project including facts, a fun fact, the habitat and the life cycle. They also had to draw a picture and do all of the writing themselves.
Yesterday was the bug fair at school and MAN are those little people amazing. They all did such a great job and would start their presentation by saying “I’m (Savannah) and I’m going to teach you about the (tiger beetle)”. They were little pros and I couldn’t be prouder of them. They were also allowed to wear home-made costumes, hence Savannah being covered in bugs and wearing antennae.
