I snagged literally the last two tickets that were together for the Sunday showing of the Nutcracker.
My tardiness was a little unacceptable as I am a Ballet Austin Guild Member and really should have ordered these months ago. This fall has just been a beating! I feel like I’m finally getting my mojo back though (which I am hoping carries over into 2013).We had a GREAT afternoon at the ballet.
In the past, I have been only kinda impressed with the Austin Nutcracker production. But this year it was INCREDIBLE! They have added some really talented dancers and it made a BIG difference. I think Savannah even noticed, though maybe she didn’t know exactly why. She gasped several times during the performance. I think having taken ballet lessons this fall she understands how difficult what they are doing really is.
Also, Savannah brought a purse with her and acted ‘fancy’ all day. From what I can gather ‘fancy’ entails talking with an accent similar to Lady Mary’s on Downton Abbey. Also a bit of that clenched jaw old money east coast thing. It was truly amazing.
