Savannah’s class has possibly the best first grade teacher in Austin. I know this despite her not teaching my kid for one day because she 1) wrote Savannah TWO letters this summer and 2) gave Savannah a letter at orientation that said ‘Not to be Opened Until Bedtime’ on the front. This is what Savannah found inside that note. Magic confetti to help her sleep. Oddly enough, Savannah came out of her room sobbing at 11PM telling me she couldn’t sleep. My kid is a darn good sleeper, so this shocked the heck out of me. I think she was a little excited. I got her to sleep eventually and she was so happy to be going back to school.
