Balloon Festival

I was up in Dallas with the kiddo this weekend and the highlight was definitely the Plano Balloon Festival. This was one of those things that could have gone either way for Savannah – she was going to be terrified or was going to love it.

Luckily, she was amazed and mezmorized. She keeps talking about the ‘big balloons up in the sky’. We timed everything just right – the traffic was terrible, but we got to the launching about 5 minutes before it happened and we scored some sweet seats for watching. Here are some pictures.

O-R-E-O

While I was out the other week. Conor introduced Savannah to Oreo cookies. She has been asking for “Dada O Cookies” ever since.

Nickname

Savannah has a new nickname. Have you seen this commercial?

Well, if you don’t have kids, this is pretty much what living with a toddler is like. Conor and I crack up at this commercial every time we see it and have now transferred the nickname “Goulet” to Miss Savannah. Seriously, she is so Goulet. Anything that has a button (a clock radio, my camera, the dishwasher), she’s going to push it and mess it up with extreme speed and efficiency.

School Report Week 2

Well I did much better leaving Savannah at school this week. She sobbed when I left this time. You can’t win ’em all.

The teachers told me that she was fine after a few minutes. The report back this week also included comments about her love of music (apparently the best clapper in the class) and her knowledge of the alphabet. I got three awesome drawing this week.

When I picked her up, she was waiting with her face pressed against the windows. Very cute. She also said “Bye School!” as we left.
