Wrap up of the the last 48 hours

I wouldn’t say it’s been a bad 48 hours, but it’s been interesting.

  • Savannah has staged hunger strikes at lunch and dinner. It has all the makings of a major toddler power play. She refused to eat anything except two croutons for lunch today. Great.
  • While at Ikea, the words “would the owner of a silver Audi, license plate blah blah blah, please call customer service” came over the PA system. Hey, wait a minute, I own a silver Audi. I got tagged in the parking lot (by a really honest guy it turns out). Nothing major, but what a pain. By the way, Ikea is Savannah’s new favorite place. She kept talking about the ‘big, blue building” all afternoon.
  • Something went haywire with our change of address/mail forwarding. I’ve been on the phone with many a delightful civil servant over the last few days. (The exception was our old mail carrier – she was awesome. The rest of them can stick it.)
  • On the good news front, it was a roll-a-rama at Little Gym yesterday. She is a rolling pro now. Way to go Conor!
  • I was out at a neighborhood Ladies Night Out (totally fun by the way, I think we’ll like this neighborhood) so Conor was in charge of bath time. Savannah had her first tub-pooping incident. I can’t really say that I’m sorry I missed it, but I did feel bad for Conor.

Weekend Happenings

So, busy weekend at Casa Cunningham…..Conor had to work on Saturday (booooo) but we had our friends Chris & Elizabeth over for dinner on Friday night. Here is Elizabeth, highly amused by Savannah’s antics.

Savannah LOVES Chris and Elizabeth. They are fabulous with Savannah and super fun all around, so it’s not surprising. As a side note, I have known Chris 20 years (I’m SO old). He sat behind me in Texas history class in seventh grade and he was the best man at our wedding.

Savannah and I went to a birthday party for one of her playgroup friends on Saturday. I only took two pictures as I was herding my toddler, but here is one of them. The party was a ladybug theme and they had these amazing cupcakes (plus a cake in the shape of a ladybug!). So gorgeous.

A random pretty picture of the bambino.

Where’s Mama’s camera?

On Sunday, Savannah and Daddy had a great time in the kitchen. Savannah was very into hugging and was running from the playroom to Daddy to give him hugs. This happened about five times and was the perfect antidote to having to work on Saturday.

The End.

Dorky Art Alert

Man, do I love this site. I love miniature photography.

Working in a gallery for two years exposed me to a lot of different kinds of photography. While I learned to appreciate them all, I certainly didn’t like them all. I’m sure a lot of you will look at this photography and be “meh” about it, but you will be a better person for looking.
