Kiddie Kitchen

I think the time has come to start looking for a a kiddie kitchen for Savannah. She is completely fascinated by anything that I do in the kitchen lately.

To be honest that mostly includes: warming up Soup Peddler meals, making lattes, making eggs and making toast. I did manage to pull together reasonable meals the last two nights, but it happens much less frequently than I’d like. Anyhoo, it’s a little difficult to hold a wiggly 16-month old and make coffee at the same time, so a distraction for her might be nice.

Anyone have any kitchen sets that their kids liked or that they think are cool? I love the look of Pottery Barn’s fake stainless steel set, but not at that price.

ETA: Chek out this cool play food I found! Awesome!

Mastering ‘No’

She’s only been saying ‘no’ for a week, but she already has variations…

“Savannah, would you please drink some milk”

“NO.” (forceful no)

“Savannah, will you please give me that?”

“Noooooooooooooo.” (disrespectful no)

“Savannah, it’s time to change your diaper”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOO!” (indignant no)

“Savannah, where are you going?”

“no, no, no, no, no, no, no” (No for the sake of saying no, no)
