Ok, so I’m surfing around the Dallas Morning News during naptime and I stumble across this article.

I agree with some of it and I’m sure my mom and Bridget would too as they work in the schools, but this line cracked me up.

But Dr. Campbell did note that narcissism can have benefits, suggesting it could
be useful in meeting new people “or auditioning on American Idol.”

Why I should take my camera EVERYWHERE

1. Poor Conor has to work AGAIN this Saturday (but the end of the crazy work hours is in sight!) so Savannah and I headed over to the Children’s Museum in downtown. I got a membership last time I was there, so we are going to get our money’s worth. Savannah loves it there – it’s a great place for toddlers. Lots of things at her level and tons of stuff to touch.

She spotted the big model train that was circulating around the room and put out her hand for me to walk her over to it. Well apparently, I was not fast enough as she just took off across the room. Walking the whole time! She is a silly, complicated, stubborn little girl. I’m glad she’s starting to get some confidence in her walking though.

2. As we were leaving the museum, there were about 10 people on Segways. I learned that Austin has a Segway tour. I know this is kind of evil, but I couldn’t stop laughing at the people trying to ride a Segway and take pictures of things at the same time. It really seemed like a recipe for disaster.

3. On the way home, there was a guy on a bike (the kind of bike that you sit back on like an exercise bike. They had them all over the place in Seattle – hopefully you know what I’m talking about) and he had about 50 balloons attached to his bike with a big sign that said “Americans for Peace” and was just cruising along on one of the main streets, cars whipping by him.
