Awwww……

As I’ve mentioned, we’ve been working on baby signing with Savannah. We were going strong for a while, but tapered off because I am nothing if not an underachiever.

Anyhoo, I have been trying again with her lately and she seems to be picking it up very quickly. We’ve been working on ‘more’ lately. She gets it for ‘more’ food and tonight during her bath I was singing the ‘itsy bitsy spider’ as she was sooooo tired (see daylight savings time post) and needed constant distraction. When I finished she signed ‘more’. So cute. And if you’re wondering, yes, my singing voice is that good.

Daylight Savings Time

I am always a little sad when daylight savings time ends because it gets dark here SO EARLY. In December it will be pitch black at 4:30. That is lame. What used to make up for it was that I got to sleep in and not feel guilty because we had rolled the clocks back.

Do you know who doesn’t understand that whole concept?

Babies, that’s who.

christine - i’ve always said the person whom invented daylight savings time was clearly NOT a mother!! i’m feeling for you :)

So Modest….except not

Lately when someone comes up to Savannah and says “You are just adorable/precious/beautiful/so cute!”, etc., she has been shrugging her shoulders, looking down slyly and smiling. It’s as if she’s thinking “Yes, I know. I’ve been told that before.” It’s pretty funny. Oh my little diva.
