Cork part the third

There are a million more Cork pictures I could upload, but at this rate, we’ll never get through the vacation. So enjoy the last installment of Cork.

We went to this model train town that was super cool – It was outdoors and they had replicas of several Irish villages, complete with outdoor weather proof model trains running – Savannah loved it and my Uncle would have been in heaven!

Savannah wants to ‘hold Joseph’s hand’.

Adam being a sweetie.
I think Savannah sort of looks like Godzilla here.

With her new BFF Emer.
Loving Pat & Joseph. In this first picture, I believe that Pat is discovering that Savannah is a big cheater. I believe that she gets it from her cousin Rich, who cheated on many a game of Uno with me when I was younger.

Just some pretty.

We were there for Shauna’s 8th birthday party – so fun!

Nightswimming

I have had a pretty crappy day by all respects.

I am now currently listening to what is possibly my favorite all time song: Nightswimming By R.E.M. and I feel better. If you haven’t heard this song, go download now or let me know and I’ll burn you a copy. Such a good song.

That is all.

At Phil’s Icehouse on the playground:

“Mama! I made a new friend” (she was playing with a little girl)

Me: “That’s so great – what’s her name?”

Savannah: “I don’t know!!!”

Also at Phil’s Icehouse:

My friend Chris: “Savannah, sometimes I’m not very smart”

Savannah “Well, I AM very smart.”

Cork Part II

Clockwise: Shauna, Ciara , Aoibhin and Adam

Dan, Joseph and Darraugh (who is gamely wearing the flower that Savannah gave him while he made lunch for all of us. Below is Conal and Adam. The water temp there is a liiiitle different from what we have on our beaches, hence the wetsuit.

More sandcastle making – this time with Oonagh and Don.
Check out little Miss Hollywood.
Conal and Savannah

That ‘2’ that she is holding on the last picture is just some flotsam that we found on the beach. I told her it was the number of the day and she promptly asked ‘What other numbers do you think are on the beach?”. She kept looking the whole time we were there, but we only found a ‘2’.
I love this one.

Not the best ending to Friday date night.

We had another trip to the ER last – this time for ME!

I had this crazy reflux reaction at dinner (which was weird, because that’s not normally something that I have problems with) and it left me unable to eat or drink anything. It was like stuff would get stuck in my throat and just come back up – ew.

After 34 hours with no food or water, I was a dehydrated mess, so Conor took me to the ER where they pumped me full of fluids and gave me some medicine through the IV. Came home at 1AM, got some rest, let the medicine do its job and I’m ready to roll today (a little weak, but I’ll take the ability to drink a cup of water over wooziness any day).

So anyhoo…a little behind on the Ireland pictures. Coming soon.
